Persaunet nursing home
Persaunet Health and Welfare Center in Trondheim is a new nursing home with 96 care beds, 50 care homes and an activity center for seniors. From the very beginning, the goal was to provide the nursing home with a modern and environmentally friendly design.
The initiative is a good example of how a nursing home with relatively few hospital beds can reach the same high standards as larger hospitals in terms of safety, hygiene and efficiency in waste management.
Through a good use of available space, Logiwaste has delivered a compact and cost-effective waste solution.
The delivery included a space-efficient single-fraction solution with a 400 mm pipe system, inlets, terminal equipment, a waste container and a modern control system.
At the nursing home, the staff dispose of their waste via 12 strategically placed inlet doors and and two shafts that pass through each floor of the property. It provides staff with easy access to an entry point where they can easily dispose their waste.
